Ngiyan Yabini?
Who Yabini?
Yabini Kickett is a proud descendant of the Kickett, Hayden, and McGuire families of the Bibulmun Noongar Nation. Raised in a creative and culturally rich environment—her mother an artist and poet, and her father a photographer and land conservationist—Yabini’s practice is deeply grounded in language, native flora, familial ties, totemic relationships, and materials gathered from Country. Her work reflects a profound connection to place, identity, and intergenerational knowledge.
